I m considering enrolling to Washington State University’s online bachelors degree in business administration program. I currently run my own small business plus hold down a part time job so I do not have the time to attend the university in person. Would an online degree from this state university be the same as a if i had attended in person?

I am interested in getting my associates degree in computer and information systems with a focus on networking and I have been hearing a lot of people get their degree online. However, I feel there is an advantage to getting my degree in the classroom because of the sheer hands on aspect.

Can anyone give me any advice on which is better or if it even makes a difference on how I obtain my degree.

I am married and would have to work on the side if that makes a difference.

However, college graduates who have done a loser degree like Sociology, usually do not earn very much money, have a big student loan debt and are full of attitudes which have a negative affect on the relationship.

Therefore either date a graduate such as a doctor of medicine, vet etc who earn decent money and put up with their attitudes, or date a non college graduate.

Particularly if that university is famous for providing online degrees, is that a disadvantage?
I’ve been thinking like, people would recall that oh he graduated from that university, he must’ve earned it online.

Or is it considered an advantage being a pioneer in online education as well as offering degrees by the conventional method?

I gotten an online degree for my business associates, yet I always had a love for civil engineering, and was thinking about going back to online school for an associates in it while I worked full time to support myself independently. Would it be harder for me to find work in the civil engineering field with that kind of degree, obtained online, than in a traditional setting?

Do these online degrees have much value in the market. I am strictly talking of proffesional courses. I have researched some courses on the web but all of them are bit too expensive which they shouldn’t be coz they are not spendin all that much money on teaching the studeent. So I really need to be sure that these degrees will be useful in the job market before I invest the money. Also pls can u reccomend some online universities which provide distance education and are affordable for Information Technology and MBA courses. -Thank you

I’m looking for an online degree in web design. I’ll consider a BS although I would prefer a BFA or BA. I’m currently in my second year in the Academy of Art’s graphic design program but have been thinking of switching my major to focus more on web stuff. I love AAU but it’s so expensive and I’m already about $30,000 in debt(and haven’t even finished my AA yet!) so I’m looking for other options. Does anyone know of any good, accredited schools where I can get my whole degree online? My husband is in the navy and we move every couple of years so going to school on campus is not an option. I’ve looked around at purely “online colleges” but haven’t been very impressed. I want to graduate with the ability to work in both web and print, with knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, and the adobe creative suite. Am I being too picky? I really love AAU’s graphic design program and was going to just switch to their web design program but I’d rather not graduate $130,000 in debt for a bachelor’s!

Any first hand experience would be very beneficial! I wouldn’t even mind sticking with a degree focussed on graphic design as long as there were coding classes.

I don’t know if I want to go to college or to take college classes online. Any suggestions? Any good schools?

I’ve been looking into going full-time at work and was looking at getting an online degree. As a full-timer I would get 100% reimbursment for school, so money is not an issue. I was looking into the University of Phoenix, but I’ve read A LOT of negative things about that school. The reason I was interested in them was because of their format. A full-time student takes one class for five weeks and then moves on one class at a time all year around. Does anyone have an suggestions of other colleges that offer a format like this that are a good ranking college? Also, I’m going for IT. Also, any actual experiences with the UOP would be appreciated. Also, I don’t want the school to be strictly an online college, for resumee purposes. thank you!
