I have an upcoming interview that the recruiter referred to as a technical interview. The position is for environmental engineering and I don’t recall ever going through a purely technical interview before. What are typical questions asked for (non-IT) engineering positions?
    Thanks.
I have good exposure to the HR questions and this may end up being just a combination of that and other situational questions. I had just never heard of an interview referred to as technical before. Thanks for all the great answers.

I’m up for a Java position, and the HR guy told me it’ll be Java focused.

I know it’ll be a cross between Java trivia and basic CS stuff, but I was wondering if anyone had further details. For instance, will EJBs be covered, or toolkits and the like, or will the interviewer rather focus on SE? Should I expect ball-breaker CS questions, even in this interview?

Anyone have examples of Java-oriented questions asked in a Google interview?

Hey! I do have experience with interviews, but not with ones that have been too technical. I have a huge interview scheduled and I was wondering if there are any process engineers with about a year experience (like me) who can give me a few examples of what kind of chemical/technical questions they have been asked?May be a little more about the typical technical questions? Please help me out on this.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

I’m a recent graduate in civil engineering. I just had a phone interview with a structural firm and they invited me to come in for a visit. They want to show me around the office and ask me some “technical questions.” Do any of you know what they mean by technical questions? Should I probably go back and review some of my steel/concrete/timber design notes for it?

I have an interview for an analyst position and I’m worried they’ll ask me about my coursework/technical concepts.

I did well in my classes but I don’t really remember specific details from certain classes like my econ and computer programming coursework.

I’m stressing out because my friend friend had an interview where they asked her a very detailed question about C++ that she learned in a class like 3 years ago….

Do I need to go over all the concepts I learned in my classes?
    Thanks for any input
