I want to take the Vet Tech program through Penn Foster, but my mother dosen’t want me to because she doesn’t think I will get hired by anyone if I were to have an online education. I have been working with small and large animals for 9 years, and I am 100% sure this is the career for me, I want it more than anything.

    what do you think?

online education means i would take classes one at a time, each for 5 weeks, no summer breaks, but more free time during the day. I hope someone who has taken college courses online can inform me.
community colleges most people know about. Please consider all pro’s and con’s. This is a very big decision for me.

I am interested in furthering my education and looking into taking something online, since I am a stay at home mom it seems about the best way for me to go about getting a degree. However does anyone know if employers look at online degrees the same way they do as a degree attained at an actual college, and what online colleges are crediable.

I’m interested in going to college online to become a nurse. I’m currently a full-time mommy with two little ones at home and I can’t really do the whole “on campus” type thing. So I’m looking into the online schools.

What online school would be best to pursue classes toward a nursing degree?

    Thanks guys!

Don’t sell online education short! A year ago I joined Axia College at the University of Phoenix and I found it to be a wonderful experience. I always thought online education was a farce. But after joining an online college, I was amazed! Don’t take my word for it, check it out and let me know what you think. I am on Social Security Disability, because of spinal problems that’s makes it impossible for me to walk and leave my home. Please check it out and you’ll be amazed by the courses you can further your education. Also they provide great contact information for financial aide, and a wonderful staff that will help you out though you college experience. Please check this out and I know you will love it. I am continuing my education to get a degree in the Spinall Justice Field and when and if I am medically sound I play on becomming a Parole or Probation Officer or maybe even a Private Investigater. Please let me know you checked this out, because I know you won’t regret IT!
    Thanks Ken

I am sitting at my desk watching MSNBC and they are talking about online college or online courses and how it is truly growing. 11% of college students are online students and distance learning is growing at a high rate. Employers are not looking at it as a bad thing anymore.

I have read some negative posting on yahoo answers about online schools and how it is worthless. I never agreed with people who would down it because I now so many people who have graduate from online schools and have a career in the field of their studies. I think distance learning is going to be the future for a lot of people.. What do you think?

I know this question has been asked a thousand times but I need to ask anyhow. Ive done some searches and can’t find the answer I’m looking for anyways. I’m thinking of starting online education and try to earn a ba in a field. I’m having trouble pin pointing an exact field of intrest, but I suppose that’s something I’ll have to deal with. Is online really worth it. I have no college education whatsoever. If I were to take a ba in psychology from an online school what are my chances of landing a decent job? someone that is 33 years old with no expirence in any field I choose to study, can I land a job with a certain degree with no expirence? do employers laugh at online degrees and just pass you by? what are some of the schools i should be looking at that have a good rep? we have a baby on the way and a busy schedule so this is why im thinking online, so i want to choose wisely in a school and a program. please, real answers not u of phoneix employees answering my question.

I have lived in America for about 5-6 years and I really miss school now,I need to get back as well.
I haven’t attended no school while I’ve been here,I’ve just been working.
I know College is very serious and costs alot of $$$$$$$$$,I just feel like I’m not ready to jump right into College since it would be my first time studying in the America.
The transportation would be the problem to the campus (not gonna catch the bus every day).

I’ve thought about taking some cosmetology classes, which I probably are gonna end up doing.

    How effective is ONLINE EDUCATION?
    Which is the best ones?
I would think Online Education is pretty flexible (since I can travel while I’m in school and etc.?
What if I should need help with my homework/studies?
Have anyone out there attended any ONLINE EDUCATIONAL programs, did it pay off?
    How much does it cost?

I need education, but don’t have no car for the moment……………….

    Thank you!

So… I tried the traditional college and it SO did not work for me. During that time, I took a few classes online and LOVED them… I also did extremely well in them! Furthermore, my husband just graduated into the Air Force so we may be moving a lot more and to a lot more places than before. I think an Online college would be great for me… So please do not suggest a few online classes through a campus college, I will NOT be able to visit them.

Ok, thus my question is, which ones are legit. I mean, of course they mostly are… but which ones are worth their grain of salt? I’ve heard a few will get you laughed at if you say you graduated from them. Or is this a thing of the past as online schools have become more popular?

I would really hate to pay for all that and work all that way through only for it to be worthless…

I’ve been wanting to go back to college, (for accounting) but I’m afraid to do the online school thing….does anyone know if employers look at online colleges as a downside? Would my income be extremely less than if I went to a campus? I can’t really afford to go to a campus, and I don’t really like the atmosphere and would rather do the online courses…help??

I want to major in elementary education or something similar to that. I don’t really care about how big the campus/classes are. I want a fairly recognizable college. My wish is for it to be on the east coast but that isn’t too big of a deal. If it’s somewhere else in America, I’ll be fine. I’ve been trying to find the perfect college for me but I haven’t been able to in all my research.
Please let me know if you know a good college that has the qualities I’m looking for. Thank you so much!
