I am really interested in companies that provide manager in training programs, management trainee programs, or leadership development programs. No matter what you call it, essentially it is a program for new grads to explore the company through a number of rotations in different areas of the business, and continue learning.
I know Telus, GE and HBC provide some really excellent options. What are some other companies that have excellent new grad training programs?

I am a sophomore in high school. I have a 95% GPA, I haven’t taken the SAT yet but I will most likely do pretty well, and next year I plan on joining German club, Key Club, and SNAP Academy (leadership development). I am creating a program for college students to develop their strengths in academics and career, and the 2-hour program will conclude with a motivational speaker to help the students feel recharged to finish the semester strongly. I need a name that sounds fun and interesting, yet sounds important (so they can show that they have attended this event on their resumes, and it sounds legit). So far, I have been calling it “Leadership Challenge”, but I’m not really sold on it. Any suggestions?

Child Development- I thought this would be fun. I can take this any year I want.
Leadership Development- A lot of people take this class, so I thought it would be cool. My sophomore year would be the last year to take this class though!
Principles of Business- I thought it would be necessary for me to learn about business. My sophomore year would be the last year to take class!
So those were the electives, and don’t just say pick whichever you want, because I want to take them all! I just need a little help narrowing down my choices.
I’m teaching The Killer Angels to a high school Leadership Development class, and my students are confused (and so am I at times) over who reports to whom, etc. in the Battle of Gettysburg. If anyone knows where I can find a chart of the Generals and the important officers who report to them, I’d appreciate it, as would my students.

1st of all thank-you to everyone who has taken the time to give me information in past questions. So now that I have a little better understanding of the Army’s rank structure. When in the Army do you start to receive leadership training? Is there a special school for it?
I am asking because I have a very close friend who is making the change from the Marines to the Army . As a Former Marine I have alot of misconceptions about the Army that I would like to correct. I understand that the Army and the Marine Corps are two very different beasts. In the Marine Corps leadership and advancement through the Ranks go hand in hand. All Marines are taught to be leaders. So I thought that is how it works in every branch. But what has been explained to me is that leadership in the army does not start till specialist. Why is that?
Please don’t answer if you are going to start a fight or say something negative about EITHER branch. I don’t care to hear who is better or why my friend is smart or stupid for switching branches. We are all on the same side.
