I was just wondering how interest rates get lowered on credit cards? Why do some people have lower interest rates, and some have higher? I understand the whole difference between credit scores and that some people have better credit than others. But I know that every single person with a low interest rate on credit cards didn’t “call and dispute with the card company until they lower the interest rate”. So, how do they get it? Is it something the credit card companies monitor regularly and lower according to your credit improvement and such over the time? I’m 24 years old, my credit score is 750+. My cards have been allowed higher credit increases in very short times that I’ve had them, due to zealously paying them above and beyond the expect (and sometimes multiple times a month). None of the cards are charged up 1/3 of their limit..less than that. What things can I do to get lower interest rates? One has 22.24%. Not sure about the other two.
Absolutely nothing bad on my credit…
Actually…while it is a good practice to stay on top of what you charge on credit cards (and to immediately pay off what you owe to avoid interest)…it’s good to carry a balance from time to time. Credit cards are for that; for credit. Meaning you DON’T have the money at the time – Thus, that’s the whole point of credit. You can buy what you need now, and pay it a little later when you have the money. Though of course, you don’t charge up what you know you won’t be able to pay back, either. But good credit isn’t built without carrying a balance at some point. If you cancel out your charge each month by completely paying it off, where’s the ongoing charge for ‘credit’? It shows them you are just playing a game, trying to make your credit better, but not being able to apparently handle needing a higher credit limit (which can and does indeed affect your credit score, that I do know). So…if they see that you “pay it off instantly”, what’s the point of them upping your credit line??

I currently have Norton 360. I have heard its not that great. Is there a different or better one out there? For basically everything Norton offers, as well anything else I may need for security on my computer.

My computer is full of viruses. It barely boots up and when it does everything absolutely freezes up. When it was somewhat working it was extremely slow and froze up quiet often. Now its to the point to where it just freezes up right off the bat….Any suggestions would be apprecitated.

I have received a windows security warning about a possible trojan worm. It asks me to enable protection and brings up a new web tab asking me to download software. I am afraid that this is the trojan trying to access my PC. My Anti virus program is not picking this up as a threat. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it.

I need a good, but free virus protection software.
I tend to be on a fair deal of forums, email accounts, ect.
I use myspace a lot too.
Whatever virus protection I use needs to be able to block viruses from all of those. Anyone know of any good ones that I can get online?
Thanks so much for the detailed answer.

I did have the Spy Sweeper package but it’s out of date, and it didn’t do well to begin with. I guess I shouldn’t say too much since I’m not overly gifted with computers.

I have a Free Personal Edition Avira as my antivirus software and another software for spyware, so I’m sure that I’m not just safe from viruses but also from other threats. Is their any problems that I might encounter in having paraller antivirus software? I just found there’s a winsock32.dll running, which as I researched is a virus so I deleted it. I was wondering if having 2 antivirus software caused this virus to be undetected. Thanks to anyone who answers!

are there any hacking software that i can download, so i can save my mom from identity theft. yesterday someone broke in her car and took her purse, the thief who stole the purse is caught. but the purse was left in a public street. she told me its okay, the cops would find it, but i don’t trust cops, i can understand they are doing a good job, but it takes a long time to get it back and someone could use my moms SSN to register for credit cards and stuff. and company’s send her name to collection, when she owes $50,000. She canceled her Credit cards. but i still wanna look for more thieves. Please help. i wanna also stop sex pre4dators, they have become smarter. hackers get paid $4000 for every crook they caught

Okay, this is a survey for a legal studies assignment at school. Please answer truthfully, and it will help me a great deal. This is a primary source for my information.

    1. Have you ever been the victim of identity theft, or a privacy breach? If so, would you care to explain what happened? What you did wrong? How it was remedied? (no detailed info about yourself though)

    2. Do you ensure you limit the amount of information you add to social-networking websites, like Facebook, so that you don’t end up becoming a victim? If not, do you limit your privacy settings so only immediate Friends can view your profile?

    3. Do you actively make sure that your computer anti-virus and firewall software is up-to-date and protecting you?

    4. Do you believe that the law in your jurisdiction is protecting your privacy well? If not, why? (eg. loopholes, etc)

    5. Now that we are in the 21st century, and we are surrounded by so much evolutionary technology, do you believe we still have privacy, or do you believe that it is becoming something of the past? (it would be good if you explain why, but if not thats okay).

This survey will be attached to my assignment. I will blank out your names, so you will keep your anonymous status. Thank you for your time 🙂

I know people will simply read this and decline but what I’m asking for is if you’re willing to gameshare the new game “InFamous 2” with me.

I’m sorry but I have absolutely no games to share with you since after 4 years with my old fat 80gb PS3 and a couple of good games like Burnout Paradise city, Infamous, Littlebig planet, BattleField 1940-something and a couple of small good games and tons of map packs (These games were all gameshared with my friends on PSN except for Infamous and LittleBigplanet which were downloaded after the 1 month PSN maintenance) my PS3 got the YLOD ( Yellow-ring-of-Death) and well died… to quickly save myself from buying a new PS3 I had to clean it inside out and fix stuff… you get the idea. So I revived my PS3 and well to do that I had to reformat my PS3 and because of that I lost all my game save data and most important of all… my gameshared and downloaded games.

I’m asking if anyone is willing to allow me to gameshare with them with nothing for them in return… I know most of you will say “No” or simply “scammer alert” but I’m honestly saying this that I’m the type of guy who can’t scam for Sh!t, the type of guy who feels sorry for doing something like a dick move. I can’t buy Infamous 2 cause I’m poor and my parents are cheap and I haven’t gotten a new game since like 1 and a half years

So If you are willing to sincerly let me download Infamous 2 onto my crappy ps3 then I would be very happy, and I GUARANTEE YOU, you will not be scammed or cheated,

I Simply love that game and I want to download it but I can’t buy it or afford it

I have a virus (rootkit…idk) that has hi-jacked my email system. It sends out bogus emails to everyone on my email list daily. My current anti-virus software does nothing to stop it. Can someone recommend a software package that might work against this problem? Also, will shutting down my current email address and opening a new one help? Also, I reinstalled windows 8 and that did not help.
