I am currently studying for my associates degree in computer programming, but when I looked on some job searching websites a few minutes ago, they all require at least a BS. I plan on getting several certifications in the IT field, including COMPTIA A+ and Network +. Will that help at all? I don’t have to be making a whole lot of money, just enough to live somewhat comfortably by. Living in an apartment for a few years is fine with me.

I cannot find any listings in the career opportunity sections that pertain to the data entry for weekly online sales advertisements. What is the position called? Does anyone know? Somebody is creating all these online sales items for the thousands of retailers with Web sites. I just earned my associate degree in Web design, and I think this type of position would be perfect for me.

So my family is going through financial problems. I plan on going to my community college in NJ. I want to get a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at a 4 year institute. But first I have to get an Associates Degree at a community college so I can transfer out. I’m hoping to transfer to Baruch College after receiving Associates Degree. If I want to transfer to Baruch, or any other 4 year institute, in order to get bachelor’s degree in Accounting, should i get AS in Accounting, or just get AS in business administration?

I am currently taking a certificate program online in medical secretary but my instructor told me in order to be more marketable I should consider getting the associate degree. I just want to land an entry level position in a medical office to gain experience then go from there. If anyone worked as a medical secretary or any front office position in a medical facility, how did you get started in the profession and if you went to school before earning the position what did you earn? Do you think it is a waste of time to earn a degree in medical secretary?

I just graduated high school and my plan was to go to a local community college (the first year I would take basic math and chem because I need those to be stronger in order to pursue my vet tech degree) BUT now my family is moving and I am going with them. I am interested in earning a degree online. Is it possible to earn my associates degree in veterinary technology entirely online (I would be getting a tutor as well) Also I am still needing to take basic math and chem first. So with that said, what is the best online school?

So I need a little help on understanding the Associates Degree. I know it’s a 2-year degree, but while earning it do you take the same classes for any associates degree? Or do you get like an associates degree in lets say veterinary medicine or computer science?? My second question is, lets say i’m going to move to another state to establish residency for a year and I start working for my AA degree online (for 1 year), do I have to continue to take it online, or can I then go to the university of the state I just established residency in, and complete it??? I know I may sound confusing, but I’m so confused!!

What Online Degree Helps You Earn Apx. 50k A Year?

A friend of mine has health disabilities that prevent them from being able to attend college classes, so they would like to earn an online degree that will help them earn at least 50k a year. They have no college credits, so it would have to be a diploma, certificate, or associates. They have very limited funds so that is why they need to enter the right program the first time, and I am trying to help them not waste their money. Their main interests are Psychology, Health, Social Services, and the Arts.

Please only answer if you have a positive reply. Responding with answers like “online degrees can’t make you that much money” or “employers won’t hire you with an online degree” is not only inaccurate, but doesn’t help me.

Thank you so much for any advice you can provide!

If I attend online community college to earn an Associates degree that way I can transfer to my desired University afterward, will it take a full two years doing it online? Or is it kind of like a “work at your own pace” thing? Or can I get the actual degree online at all?

I am a 42 year old American living in Berlin, Germany and have decided to pursue a college degree. I will going for either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, most probably in either visual communications or liberal arts. The point it to make myself more employable (I’ve been a working musician for 10 years and need to acquire more skills).

I would like to earn a degree online because it seems the flexibility would suit my lifestyle best and also I can earn a degree faster online. But I need advice on good universities that offer this. Most of what I seen so far (Devry, Kaplan, University Of Phoenix) seem a bit dodgy even though they are accredited. I don’t know what, if any, more legitimate Universities offer distance education.

    Thanks for your help!
