    1. What kind of work do graphic designers do? I’ve always been interested in album cover designs but dont know how to go about it. What other things do graphic designers/artists do?
    2. What’s a good computer program to learn for graphic design? I have a fairly good grip on adobe photoshop , what else can I learn?

I suppose that it depends on the person on how long it takes to become a graphic artist, and how hard you try.

And when I say graphic artist, I do not mean graphic designer. I mean someone who, from scratch, creates a portait of someone or something.

Anyways just the usual amount of time it takes to become good at gaphic art and/or become a professional.

    Thanks!

Say a person knows flash, actionscript, photoshop, dreamweaver, adobe illustrator, etc… yet they tend to take too much time on some projects. However, these projects do take time and the non graphic artists haven’t a clue. What should the graphic artist do to speed things up?

I’ve been debating whether to get an iPad or not. I can’t decide whether it’s worth my money or a waste of money.

I think it’ll be handy for Graphic Artists but I don’t know.

The decision is mine, but I like to hear your opinions.

Is it worth it or should I just get another apple computer?
I currently have a Macbook Pro since 2008.

I’ve never understood the term “Graphic Artist”

FYI giving me a full definition of Graphic Designer and Illustrator isn’t going to get you best answer, whoever defines Graphic Artist most thoroughly will get it, even if they don’t mention the latter two professions.
Alex: I’m not threatening anyone. It gets on my nerves when people don’t get to the point, because they think if they make it long enough I might choose it. People are welcome to define the three if them if they wish, but I’m just letting them know not to waste their time by answering the wrong question. Get off your high horse.
Also, if you must be a dick head about it at least spell “threatening” correctly.
