I am going to India and my return date is not fixed. Doe Air India gives an option to have an open return ticket or it will be better to buy tickets seperately?

What are some good agents that can book an air fare from Toronto to Ahmedabad, India for mid-July? I don’t want to travel on Air India or Qatar, preferably Jet Airways or Emirates.

I’m a junior college student who knows very little about airfare and air travel having traveled very little, if ever, on my own.

Like most things, there’s typically several ways to go about doing something. I’m interested in learning how and where to locate affordable, reliable fares for air travel, both domestic and international.

For example, I’ve heard of friends buying tickets from DFW Airport to Chicago for $80. Whether it was one-way or round-trip I’m unsure (my guess is one-way), but regardless, it’s better than spending hundreds of dollars.

But I’m also interested in visiting Western Australia and cities throughout the US, and I’d like to learn how to be a savvy, knowledgeable consumer when it comes to purchasing airfare.

Any tips, advice, recommendations, websites, technical information or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stephen
