I love to travel unfortunately I have never left North America. Any place from South America to Europe would be breath taking. Theres just one problem.. I’m sixteen and money kind of gets in the way for the family. Thanks for your help.
Ps. I live in Alaska (I don’t know if that would make a difference with air fare or not)

Any companies, tickets that you know about?
Also does anybody know about Rail Europe. If I buy a pass is that it? Or are there any other tickets/fees I got to pay?

    THANK YOU.

We are planning a trip to Europe in June/July of 2009. Right now fares seem to average around $1500 for economy. I never know when to buy to get the best price and this year is probably different than last. With your experience what do you think about when to buy? Thanks

I live in San Diego (can fly out of LA as well), and am looking to fly to Thailand for two weeks near the end of January 2014. I have only flown internationally throughout Mexico, so I am not extremely familiar with airlines for international travel, any suggestions on where to look for the cheapest travel there and back?

What was the political structure of Europe during the Feudal Era?

Europe was fragmented into small republics, each with its own elected government, Europe was a single unified political body, united by the Catholic church, A few vast kingdoms were held together by powerful leaders, or Europe became a fragmented patchwork of little areas of “mini-kingdoms.” ?

What did a medieval manor basically consist of?

Farmland, forests, and a peasant village, Farmland and a castle, Farmland, forests, the lord’s house or castle, and a peasant village, or Farmland and a peasant village ?

What name was given to the Medieval building style that had blocky appearance and featured rounded arches?

Feudal, Gothic, Romanesque, or Moorish ?

What did William the Conquerer conquer in 1066?

Spain, Jerusalem, the Persain Empire, or England ?

I am flying from either Newark or Philadelphia (either is fine) and am wondering what major European cities are GENERALLY the cheapest to fly to during the summer? Especially August. Also, is there a website that includes a lot of the foreign airlines in their search results? I find that Travelocity and other big sites don’t include a lot of these and sometimes they have cheaper fares. For something a lot cheaper I’d even consider JFK, but it would have to be like $200 cheaper per person for it to really be worth it to us. Thanks!

I’m planning a trip to Europe in May. My roommates and I are planning on flying into any city in Europe (whichever is cheapest) and traveling around Europe for a month before flying out of the same city.

We are trying to find the cheapest flight possible. Could anyone tell me which airline is cheapest, and which city is most likely to be the cheapest to fly into? We’re pretty flexible, but we’d like to fly into a bigger city–Athens, Rome, Frankfurt, etc. Any city that is also somewhere that would be a good place to see while we’re in Europe.

    Thanks for your help.
Sorry. I live in Philadelphia, but could fly out of Philadelphia, Newark, or JFK

There is probably one by water but does anyone know how much it costs and how long does it take to get there? And other than these 2 are there any more? And if anyone knows what is the cheapest airline that flyes from Europe to N. America? Please help!

So basically my partner and I are heading off to Europe next year and I am trying to figure out if it’s cheaper to fly on a return fare to London and make our own way to Paris (starting city) and make our way back to London from Rome (finishing city)?

Or is it cheaper to just fly to Paris and fly out of Rome?

I can’t figure out which is the cheaper alternative, or if they’re just same same, I keep getting so many different prices. So I need travellers to tell me what they think is best!
    Thanks!

I am trying to find cheap international airfare options from Chicago this summer. We’re considering any destination in Europe, South America, etc. And our dates are very flexible – late June to late August. But most websites make you run individual searches on destination cities and dates (+/- one day, etc.). Is there a website that simply lists the cheapest options leaving a particular city for a calendar range of a couple of months?

    We are traveling in June.
We are starting in London and returning there 21 days later, beyond that I am looking for ideas of where to go and to keep the trip cheap.
    Thanks

Where can I look for cheap flights from Madrid to Amsterdam or Paris?

My boyfriend and I are heading to Europe next year, and found an amazing deal to fly into Madrid. However our main stops are in Amsterdam and Paris. There is a train, but it is too far and we don’t have enough time (or want to waste the time on the train).

Looking on large American travel sites (travelocity, expedia, etc) produces expensive answers. I heard a rumor when we were in London last year that you can find really cheap “budget” flights within Europe. However, we are not sure where to look to find those cheap fares.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

I’m looking to take a vacation around next summer, I’d like to travel through Europe but I believe that will be too expensive for me, so instead I’d like to go to South America (possibly Peru). How can I go about finding the cheapest transportation there? Would like to fly but am willing to take a train or whatever necessary. Thanks.

I live in the USA, around D.C (so airports- Washington Dulles, BWI, JFK, any of those are good departure points), but all of my family is in Lithuania in Eastern Europe.

I visited them last year and in 2008 I would love to visit them again. My only problem is airfare is so expensive. Last year I paid $1,300 a person (myself, my wife, and son).

Does anybody have any tips? I know I should be flexible with dates and airports and I am. I want to departe in the summer-June or July and stay for about 4 weeks.

Anybody have a travel agent they would like to recommend or a secret website, insted of orbitz, kayak, travelocity, etc.
Would it be better for me to book in 2007 or would it be better to book 6-8 weeks prior in 2008?

I am planning to study abroad my junior year of high school. I will need an open-ended plane ticket instead of round trip. Finances are tight at my house and I would like to get a better idea of prices. So, how much more, generally, is an open-ended plane ticket?

P.S. I will probaby be going to Brazil or somewhere in Europe.

    Hi everyone

I’m going on Exchange to ESADE in Barcelona this year. I was wondering if anyone could give me their advice on low cost and cheap air fare in Europe. Throughout my stay I want to travel to countries in Europe such as Italy, France, Portugal etc on weekends (Thurs-Sunday). I heard you can find cheap airefare last minute for 70-80 euros? I have a large network of exchange students that will be living in these cities so accomodation will be little to nothing. If you can provide some links and advice from your experience or knowledge please do so.

    Thanks
