How To Use A Funds Plus Card

A money plus card is used just like a check when making acquisitions. The money will come out of ones checking account after a product has been purchased. This could make buying issues a lot easier because a check will not have to be written. People who forget to bring their check guide or who are sick and tired of writing checks with regard to items can use their funds plus card which can be kept in their wallet as well as takes less time to use than writing a check. It is important however, to continually keep a balance associated with purchases because people can easily lose track of whatever they spend when they use a card instead or writing a check. Most financial institutions have online banking that allows people to check their own balances each day.

Any cash plus card can be acquired when a person unwraps a checking account. The actual card can also act as the credit card, but the money will still be taken out of the checking account. This can make purchasing many items, paying for meals, movies, and other costs very easy. With a cash plus card, people will need to carry around less cash helping to make traveling much easier. They can be used in most locations and when people travel because they are convenient as well as useful for getting fuel, snacks and other items when driving with a destination.

If a person loses their cash plus card, they should report it right away. If another person provides stolen the card, they can use it to buy things. The bank will near access to the account and issue a person a new card. This type of safety is available on most money plus cards. It could save people from losing money and not having a good time while on vacation. These cards make buying goods and services easier.

I only need opinions from people who actually have or have had it. I have excellent credit (Upper 700’s credit score, great payment history). I use Bank of America for my banking, and I like the idea of being able to monitor at least one credit card along with my bank account (like I currently do with my Gold card). I’ve been considering applying for the BoA Visa Platinum Plus card. I need to ditch the BoA Gold card (stupid annual fee). The Visa Platinum Plus is listed under “Everyday Cards” on the BoA website. I think all of the ‘cash back rewards’ and various rewards cards are just not worth the hassle. I need a simple, decent APR% card. No tricks, no games…no extra charges out of some fine print I didn’t have 20 hours to read. I know all credit cards have the fine print, fees, etc.
    As listed on their website:

    – No annual fee
    – 0% Introductory APR on purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks for your first 6 billing cycles†
    – After your introductory APR expires, you will receive a variable APR on purchases, balance transfers, and cash advance checks currently Prime + 2.99% for Platinum Plus® accounts or Prime + 12.99% for Preferred accounts. Please note that you will lose your introductory APR if you exceed your credit limit, close your account or are late with a payment.
    – All payments you make will be applied to lower rate balances first
    – No fees on balance transfers
    – Credit lines as high as $25,000
    – Online Banking service***
    – Total Security Protection®, our free package of security features, including zero liability from unauthorized card use if you notify us promptly***
    – Travel and emergency assistance***
    – Automatic auto rental insurance***
    – Purchase Replacement***
    – Purchase Guard***
    – Cash advance checks at no extra charge***
    – Additional cards at no extra charge

I don’t travel (no plane tickets, blah, blah, blah), rent cars, or any of that other crap. When I buy something, it’s either Retail purchases or online services. So even the listed rewards for travel and such mean very little to me.

Why does the “Preferred” (if it’s sooo preferred) have a higher interest rate than the Platinum Plus?

I’ll likely transfer my other 2 card balances to this card to pay it off as a whole through one card. So…is there anything I need to know about balance transfers to this card? I know they usually charge a 4% fee per transfer.
Oh yeah, and my current credit cards are in the 20’s+% APR…so why is this card seemingly so ‘special’ that it has a 12% APR? Is it hard to get because of the credit requirements or something? Does it really hold a higher ‘value’ (because of it’s odd name) than any other card, apart from maybe a lower APR%?

Other payment method like Paypal charges 2.9% plus 30 cents flat fee for a transaction. So, if a buyer pays for a 1 dollar item, 30 cents or 30 percents of it is gone already just for the flat fee.

Lets say you make 4,000 dollars a month. You have 10 credit cards, each with a limit of 4,000 dollars. everymonth the minimum payment on each card every month is 200 dollars. Why can’t you come up with 2,000 everymonth if you plan for it? You don’t have to have the money that you charged on the card.

    Possible Uses;
    PayPal (do charge 3.4%)
Buying a Pre-paid credit or sterling travel card – I think most of these do charge high fees
or somehow set a web site that will “test” credit card payments without fee; allowing you to send the cash to your bank account?

I already tried to call BOA – the people are just saying they haven’t heard about it.
Since it’s for a selected group – they are not about to tell me they offer this.
You can tell in their voice – they know.

    Any catches to this card?
Don’t tell me Discover or Chase.
    I consider their systems scams.

Limits on how much you can get each quarter, and you have to call to get your cash back.
I want 2% cash back on everything – no silly scams.

However, when applying online they say it’ll be done swiftly and mention nothing about having to confirm my address.

If I decide to complete the online application without having any proof of my UK address, won’t I later run into some issues/problems? And will i even be able to get it?

So this is my 4th year in college (in a 5 year program) who just got approved for that cash rewards platinum plus via card. I plan on using it ONLY for emergencies. I do have a job with a month salary of about $600.00 and I do pay $250 rent. I also pay my own phone bill. I have my parents to help me out but they helped me too much in life and I feel bad taking money from them because they’re not made out of money and they’re mildly struggling them self. So, I just wanted to open an emergency credit card. I wanted it as a just in case situation. The maximum I can use is $800.00 which I definitely don’t need all that. What do you think? What if I don’t use it at all? Will they charge me if I don’t use it?

I recently received a job offer in another state and I need some up front cash to pay for a deposit and first months rent for a place since I am right out of school. I tried to obtain a small personal loan from several banks but they would not let me get one even though i have an excellent credit rating and my family can not help me out and the company can not provide relocation assistance.

My question is what is the process for getting a cash advance from a bank (not an ATM). I don’t have a PIN number so I can’t use the ATM so I need to go into the bank plus I have a larger cash advance line if I do it in the bank. Do i just go into the branch and tell the teller that I need an advance off my credit card?

I know the pitfalls of cash advances but it is my only way of getting money for a place. I have already went through a budget and I can have the credit card bill paid off within two months at the latest.

i had a thought of credit, but im unsure if a debit card is a credit card. i used my debit card ( when i had a job ) to withdraw money from my account. i had left $18.34 i wanted to take out $10.00 dollars for a purchas without taking my card with me. but when it asked how much withdraw it only went up to $20 dollar withdraw. so i withdrew 20 and owed my bank 2 dollars. that ended up going up within a few months. my question is does that count as credit? if so i didnt know and i do have a bad credit score…lol thanks and no rude comments please, it was my first time having plastic and didnt have a clue how to use it. i got it cause a friend told me it better to lose plastic than to lose all ur money ( bills ) if i got jumped..

I’ve found two bundles to help save me some cash. One is an AMD 64 3.0ghz with motherboard for $290, plus seperate video card EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS Video Card which is $160. which adds up to $450 total. ( )
and an Intel bundle with motherboard, quad core 2.66ghz, and two ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Video Card for $500.

What i need to know is whether i should go with AMD or Intel and which bundles/video card would get me more bang for my buck cause I’m on a limited budget. thx

Should i use a debit card so they can go online and add more money when needed? or use a cash card but if you recomend that please explain the process of how to use one and fill it up? Remember i would not like my parents to see my purshases
I forgot to add that i am 14

At my job, I get payed on a debit card given by Global Cash Card(some Mastercard). This week, everyone at my job was mistakenly payed twice. Some people, not realizing this withdrew all the money anyway. What the company is doing is simply taking the second paycheck out of the accounts whether of not we have the money in there so some people will end up with a negative balance. A few of my coworkers, already having withdrew the extra pay were simply going to quit(yeah stupid) with the negative balance just sitting there. My question is, is there anyway that they would be fined or responsible for paying that money back.

I’m backpacking around Europe and will be spending most of my time in European countries that do NOT take the Euro, Croatia, Hungary etc…
That’s why I opted for a prepaid card so I wouldn’t have to exchange to lots of different currencies.
Could anyone with experience on travelling to this side of Europe tell me about the best cards and best way to FX when travelling there.

    Hi there,

Quick question…For building credit, is there a difference between student credit cards and regular credit cards? Because I’m gonna apply for a new credit card, and I wanted to see if I should choose the college credit card or a regular one….or if it even matter in terms of building credit. Thanks.

A family member suggested I get a secured credit card to help build credit for myself. I figured this was a good idea, however, upon looking USAA also has a student credit card. Which one would be a wiser idea for a 18 YO college student to apply for and use for small purchases (I was thinking of just using it to buy gas or occasional groceries)?

For reference, here is the student card:
here is the secured CD card:

I should note I have no credit, and haven’t applied to either yet.
Thanks for the detailed answers, all! Going to go for the secured card, and use it through community college then advance to an unsecured card!

My friend is a minor like me, we’re only 15, but he has a credit card that he uses to buy stuff online, so he doesn’t have to use his mom’s credit card. I was wondering where to get something like that, like a credit card that you fill up with money and you can use it anytime.

I have two credit cards that have very high balances on them and I was wondering if there is a credit card out there that is just for credit transfers. I would like to transfer both my credit card balances on to one card so then I would have just one payment a month.
