How to Use Cash Credit cards

Cash cards tend to be cards that can be used just like cash. Different organizations, either financial or even commercial, provide cash cards. Actually, prepaid cards are said to be more convenient to use than cash itself.

Some charge cards are preloaded having a certain amount. These are the cards provided for by commercial businesses. You can see them inside gasoline stations, groceries, as well as department stores. The cash credit cards can be bought at face value, which runs from as low as $5 up to $1,000.

You can use they in lieu of cash on the checkout counter once you buy from the same or perhaps in an accredited shop. A few gives out receipts therefore holders are educated of the remaining harmony of the card. However, some cards require how the full value end up being consumed all at once.

There are also cards that can be reloaded. They act similarly to any savings account and are launched by banks as well as other similar financial institutions. The only real difference is that it will not earn any Interest at all. Cash cards are also called an atm card. These cards are thankful everywhere the lending institution’s or the card’s connection logo appears. It really works unlike the consumer company released cash credit cards, which can only be utilized on the same store.

Because cash cards are very convenient, it becomes the perfect gift for fussy relatives and friends. The owner of the card becomes its owner and is entitled to the privileges that include it. Several consumable cards do not require owner’s registration.

The prepaid cash card versions could be a very convenient solution to paying your bills and other expenses without resorting to a checking or a saving account, a smaller amount a credit card.

And debit cards can be withdrawn from the ATM machine, which is another plus to the holder. However, minimal costs do apply, possibly as you withdraw money or perhaps when it is used to pay for something.

Alright so I’m out of cash and where I am I don’t have a chance to get to the bank I use, there is no branch in this town. I do have a chequebook though. My mum seems to think that in the olden days one could walk into any bank and write a cheque to oneself in order to get some real money out and its still possible today – is this still true? Or does anyone know of any other way I can get some access to my money without a cash card or my own bank?

Please no speculations, don’t answer unless you have some form of real knowledge, thanks! xD

I recently received a job offer in another state and I need some up front cash to pay for a deposit and first months rent for a place since I am right out of school. I tried to obtain a small personal loan from several banks but they would not let me get one even though i have an excellent credit rating and my family can not help me out and the company can not provide relocation assistance.

My question is what is the process for getting a cash advance from a bank (not an ATM). I don’t have a PIN number so I can’t use the ATM so I need to go into the bank plus I have a larger cash advance line if I do it in the bank. Do i just go into the branch and tell the teller that I need an advance off my credit card?

I know the pitfalls of cash advances but it is my only way of getting money for a place. I have already went through a budget and I can have the credit card bill paid off within two months at the latest.

I am new to credit card, and have 2 basic questions regarding it:-

    1) how much cash advance one can get over the credit limit? suppose if my credit limit on a credit card is Rs 20,000, how much money can i withdraw over it?? can i withdraw Rs 50,000??

    2) what is to be done if someone by fraud, get access to your credit card (either online or offline), and take out cash out of your account? what procedure banks or credit card companies take to protect you from it?? because any amount can be withdrawn so is there any limit to these cash advance amount that can be withdrawn?

I am finding the cheapest and best way to cash off a credit card; due to charges and high interest on a cash advance; the best method would to use something that counts as a purchase?

    Possible Uses;
    PayPal (do charge 3.4%)
Buying a Pre-paid credit or sterling travel card – I think most of these do charge high fees
or somehow set a web site that will “test” credit card payments without fee; allowing you to send the cash to your bank account?

If anybody has tried the methods above; or know any other; the information will be helpful.
    UK based only really!!

I remember once seeing a VISA commerical that tried to imply paying with a credit card is “faster”. It showed a man clumsily fidling with coins and bills and the female cashier staring at him like he’s the world’s biggest dumba$$. I would much rather do cash than have to have them swipe their stupid credit card, figure out which button to push, push the wrong buttons, mess up, try again,… or have to wait for approval from the machine… or having to take their card, ask for ID, swipe the card, wait for approval, have them sign, blah blah blah. It’s better than writting a check of course (pull out your checkbook, ask for a pen, sloooowly write it out, ask for the date, ask for the amount, hold up the line, etc) but cash is still faster in my opinion. (AND I’M ASKING *CASHIERS*)

I currently have a Cash Rebate credit card… I’d say I usually average about $50 a year for using my card. and don’t pay an annual fee. I spend roughly $1000-$2000 on my card every month, I’m not even sure what my interest rate is since I pay it off full every month. (though I believe it’s about 19%)

Now, I’m curious about switching to a Travel rewards card… and I’m wondering how other peoples experience has been with these? How long did it take you to get a flight? Do you think these cards are more beneficial than the cash rebate ones? (I do travel a lot!) Thanks!

I have recently received my Halifax Express cash card but have a few questions about it:-

. Can i use it in chip and pin machines in shops such as Tesco, Newlook or Pizza Hut etc.
. How can i set up an automatic payment monthly from my parents account to mine?
    . Can i become overdrawn?
. Do i have to have a certain amount of money to use it in chip and pin machine?
    . Can i use it online ?

    Thanks so much πŸ™‚

I have an AMEX Gold Card with no pre-set spending limit. The issue with the gold card is that it has to be paid in full every month. I really like American Express, and would love to have their blue cash credit card which allows flexible payment. But I don’t wanna apply for it without a good chance of being approved because whenever I apply for new credit, they perform a credit inquiry that lowers my FICO score for a few months. My question to any AMEX blue card holder is how was your credit situation when you were approved for your card ? I have a MasterCard and a VISA card with a total limit of $5000 and Zero balance. Also since I have the Gold Card, I believe I have good credit scores as well. Are the requirements for a Blue Cash Card even more stringent than those for the Gold Card ?

A family member suggested I get a secured credit card to help build credit for myself. I figured this was a good idea, however, upon looking USAA also has a student credit card. Which one would be a wiser idea for a 18 YO college student to apply for and use for small purchases (I was thinking of just using it to buy gas or occasional groceries)?

For reference, here is the student card:
    https://www.usaa.com/inet/pages/banking_credit_cards_main?wa_ref=pri_global_products_bank_cc
here is the secured CD card:
    https://www.usaa.com/inet/pages/banking_credit_cards_secured_credit_card

I should note I have no credit, and haven’t applied to either yet.
Thanks for the detailed answers, all! Going to go for the secured card, and use it through community college then advance to an unsecured card!

some how i overdrafted my prepaid debit card on two different occasions… one time my balance said – $4.71 and when i put money back on the card it subtracted it from my account lol. My prepaid card has a bank account and routing number to it and i used it to verify my PayPal account so i’m thinking that might have something to do with it but the company (Mango Money) i use says that i would be declined if i didn’t have the money in the account when i read there webpage. I love the card and the company, they have never charged me for anything but the 5 dollar monthly payment if i didn’t put 500 bucks on it or more and that’s great but i just don’t see how it does that. I mostly use it on the internet and some things take a few days to go through but 99% of the stuff i buy anywhere goes through instantly so iv’e only had a few internet things that haven’t. Anyway i’m just looking for anyone that might have experienced the same thing maybe or knows anything about why it might happen. =D
To the guy whom posted first to my question…………..
first of all that is NOT the answer to my question and it is not even relivant… i didn’t ask for a PayPal opinion, i just ask how my prepaid cards went over. Also i don’t care if they can tell its a prepaid card and i know they don’t accept them but mine has a bank account and routing number that is backed by Inter National Bank so if they detect it which i doubt (its been on there for quite a while now) then ooh well, you can still link a prepaid card just not directly to the account to verify a bank account or add/withdraw funds directly from PayPal. So i’d appricate it if someone could answer my actual question. TYVM.

I’m trying to make an online purchase using a prepaid type of gift card or prepaid debit card. I wanted to know which ones are better and will be accepted at more places. I tried using the vanilla one prepaid gift card but it did not work at the place i was trying to make a purchase. I’ve heard that some online stores need your card to be related to your address otherwise they wont take it. I was thinking of getting green dot prepaid card because you need to register your address and information therefore it might be accepted at more places however this is really only a one time use so I would have to cancel it afterward to avoid monthly charges ect. What are some alternatives to vanilla one that will work at a lot of places online?

Wireless credit card terminals continue to gain popularity among small and large businesses.Historically, mobile credit card terminals have developed hand in hand with all the advances of the cell phones industry. In short, wireless credit card terminals (or virtual credit card terminals) offer the merchants very convenient way to accept debit or credit card payments outside of the office, warehouse or any other place of business. In addition, recent developments and technology made it possible to have the wireless credit card terminals only without any need to install a regular stationary “point of sale”.So the only things a merchant needs are the smart phone and a wireless credit card terminal.

    greeting,

I was trying to think of the safest way to buy something from sites online, and I thought that a prepaid debit card (with a mastercard, visa, ect logo) would be a good way to go.

from what I understand, the prepaid cards are accepted at the same places as the regular credit card, and that they can’t be charged for more than what is loaded on them. therefore, I could pay the small fee to load just the amount of money I want to spend, and if the site turns out to be shady, they can’t get any more money than I loaded.

does that sound like a solid plan?

also, with these cards, can I dispute a charge like a credit card and be limited to $50 liability (like a credit card) if it is within 3 days (or 2 for debit cards)? this isn’t as big of a deal, since I don’t plan to spend much more than $50 anyway.
    reply to sooku:

well, if I just spend the money as I load it, there really shouldn’t be much risk. $5 is worth knowing that someone can’t just empty my bank account, or charge up my credit card.
