Moving from the good neighborhood to a bad risk neighborhood. Got such a quote on the internet and the main difference is going to be 200+ more. So I only say screw it, I do not need my obligations rising on me. I did not report the move, will the car insurance discover eventually?

I have been looking in to my options for getting my child insurance online. I have found a great site for companies offering coverage in my area, but I am not sure which of the companies provides the most flexibility when insuring children. Does anyone have an opinion or experience one way or another with respect to this situation? For example, I know some companies will provide my child auto insurance without them having taken driver’s education. Thanks.

I know several people who have submitted their information into one of the many “online auto insurance quotes” and now they have solicitors all over them, on their phone, emails, junk mail and even one case of Social Security Identity theft. So my question is: Are these online auto insurance quotes really safe? Doesn’t it make sense to stay with a local auto insurance agent you can do business with either on the phone or in person.

Time has been served; now being told that obtaining auto insurance will be difficult. Need transportation to work and continue life in new direction – vicious circle. What, if any, companies might be best to check?

I need a new auto insurance company, Allstate just raised my rates through the roof. But I don’t want it to be an unreliable company that will drop me for one little crack in my winshield. State Farm and all those companies are too expensive for me (I am a teenager and work part-time). I live in CA. Any suggestions?

I just moved to Massachusetts from Rhode Island and recently purchased a new car. I need cheap insurance for my car because I am young and don’t make a lot of money. Has anyone reading had a good experience with a Massachusetts Auto Insurance Agency? I really would prefer to do this all online instead of on the phone. Websites are welcome! Thanks!

**I don’t need quotes, I need printable proof of insurance**
I know The General offers instant proof of insurance by printing it straight from the internet, are there any other auto insurance companies that offer it?
I don’t want to know about quotes or estimates or any silly site about comparing prices.
I want to know what companies you can go to their site and print your insurance proof off of AT HOME so you can go driving asap.

I went to a State Farm office today to get an auto insurance quote, and to my surprise, the quoted price is more than double the price that I got online at State Farm’s website. Not only that, the benefit in quote that the agent gave me is worse than the one I got online. The agent gave me two quotes. One with same benefits as the one I got online and another for a lesser benefit than the one online. Both quotes have higher prices than the one online. Am I missing something? Is this a common thing? I thought both online and agent quote price should be same. Thanks!

Okay, I HAVEN’T gotten the car yet. This is just so I can prepare myself for when I DO get the car.

I’m 21 years old, and I’m planning on getting a 1991 Camaro. How much would the auto insurance cost for me monthly?

I switched from Progressive to Allstate online about a month ago. I started the policy and paid the premium. Now I get a letter from Allstate saying they are unable to carry a policy for me due to my poor credit. I’m angry and totally disagree with my credit score having anything to do with my driving ability. I refuse to do business with any company that uses a credit score to determine auto insurance rates or availability.

My auto insurance will not be renewed due to a very bad judgment on my part (I own my mistakes) My car was stolen when I loaned it to my ex-boyfriend’ in Mexico…..I freaked out and ‘lied’ about where the car was stolen from. The car was found by my ex-boyfriend a few days later and I notified my insurance; I told them the truth what happened owing to my lie and I dropped the clam. They are not renewing my insurance stating that I am ‘high risk’ My question is this….will I be able to get other insurance? I have NO tickets, accidents, no claims, no bad driver record anything. I am STILL covered now and seeking other insurance, does the new insurance have access to what the old insurance said? Again, I have coverage until the end of Jan. ’09, and nothing else wrong EVER although I know what I did was very wrong…..I just freaked out. Please help….thanks

Florida residents do you really think entering all your valuable personal information online for an auto insurance quote is really the safe way to obtain auto insurance?
A local personalized auto insurance agent who you can pick up the phone and call or stop by their office sounds so much safer and personal.

Just want to know if your supposed to know the exact dates of your tickets when you get insurance. Because I have 4 tickets and when I get quotes online they always tell me to enter the date. And I just enter a random date b/c I dont really know. And also they say by how much you were speeding. Which I also dont remember. Do you NEED this information? What If you don’t enter it? Is it like against the law? And also if it is needed what do I do?
I never had my own insurance so I have no clue. Thanks

I have had my identity stolen and now I am very sceptical of shopping online for anything. I am looking to try to save money on my auto insurance by shopping around but can only find companies who want to give me a free online auto insurance quote. People aren’t aware that during this online process you must enter your social security number, and all your personal informaion online. That is Crazy!!!
Do people really think that this is SAFE way to shop for auto insurance?
